5 October 2024. Auction of pregnant crossbred and Sahiwal calves and buffalo calves was organized today at the Educational Dairy Farm in the All India Farmers Fair. 2 crossbred calves and 5 Sahiwal and 2 buffalo calves were auctioned in the auction. The maximum auction rate of crossbred calf was Rs. 58 thousand by Mr. Imtiaz Ahmed, Rudrapur and the maximum auction rate of Sahiwal calf was Rs. 90 thousand by Mr. Dinesh Kumar Goyal, Rampur and the maximum auction rate of buffalo calves was Rs. 1 lakh 40 thousand by Mr. Sohan Singh, Khatima. In the auction, 9 animals were auctioned for a total of Rs. 6 lakh 78 thousand 5 hundred. During the auction, Dr. D. Kumar, Dr. S.K. Singh, Joint Director Educational Dairy Farm, Dr. Shiv Prasad, Dr. J.L. Singh, Dr. A.K. Ghosh, Dr. Sunil Kumar, Assistant Director Academic Dairy Farm, Dr. Sandeep Kumar Talwar, Veterinary Officer Academic Dairy Farm, Shri A.K. Singh, Assistant Store Purchase Officer and Karma Urao were present at the Academic Dairy Farm. Dean of the Technology College Dr. Alaknanda Ashok was also present in the program. The entire team was congratulated by Vice Chancellor Dr. Manmohan Singh Chauhan, Director of Extension Education Dr. Jitendra Kwatra and Dean of the Veterinary and Animal Science College Dr. A.H. Ahmed on getting historical rates in the auction.
