Pantnagar. 2 October 2024. The 155th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and the 120th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri were celebrated with great pomp in the university. Pantnagar University today remembered two great personalities of India, Father of the Nation Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on their birth anniversary. In Gandhi Park, Vice Chancellor Dr. Manmohan Singh Chauhan and all the Deans, Directors, teachers, staff and students paid tribute to Gandhi Ji and Shastri Ji by garlanding their statues. On this occasion, Dr. Manmohan Singh Chauhan described the words spoken by Gandhi Ji and Shastri Ji and their ideals as relevant even today in the context of university and teaching as well as individual, society and nation and called upon everyone to adopt their ideals. The program was conducted by Dean Student Welfare Dr. A. S. Jeena and his team.
