Today is not only the foundation day 5.08.2024 of the university but also the fifth foundation day of the community radio station broadcast from here. On this occasion a large radio set was inaugurated in the university campus. Programmes broadcast from the community radio station broadcast from the university will run 24 hours a day on this large radio set which is five feet wide and three feet long. People will also be able to take selfies in front of it. The purpose of installing it in the campus is to encourage the new generation to listen to the radio as well as to make them aware of the highest reliability of radio as a medium. It is noteworthy that at present three community radio stations are operating under the Bihar Agricultural University, while the fourth radio station will be started in Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Katihar from next month.
