The Department of Floriculture and Landscaping, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), will organize “Dr MS Randhawa Memorial Flower Show and Competition” in collaboration with Estate Organization, near the premises of Dr Manmohan Singh Auditorium, PAU, on February 28-29, 2024. Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, Vice-Chancellor, PAU, will inaugurate the show on February 28, 2024, while the prize distribution function will be held on February 29, 2024 at 3:00 pm. The flower show will be open for the general public.
Dr Parminder Singh, Head, Department of Floriculture and Landscaping, informed that the competition will be open to individuals, private institutions, amateurs, government and semi-government institutions, and nurseries. There will be nine different classes of fresh/dry flower arrangements, seasonal flowers, foliage plants, cacti, succulents, ferns and bonsai in the competition, he said. Dr Singh called upon the flower lovers to participate in the competition enthusiastically and make the event colorful.
