As part of the implementation of the Swachh Bharat Mission, A seminar on “Agricultural Technologies for Conversion of Waste to Wealth” was organized in hybrid mode on 22.12.2023. Dr. Sujata Saxena, Director In-charge, ICAR-CIRCOT, presided over the seminar in the presence of Dr. N. Shanmugam, Head, Mechanical Processing Division. Dr. Saxena, In her opening remarks, emphasized about the need for agro-waste utilization. Dr. V. Mageshwaran, Senior Scientist (Agricultural Microbiology), ICAR-NBAIM, Mau delivered the lecture highlighting the agricultural waste utilization through composting technology, and mushroom cultivation. He shared his experience of technology development, its adoption and benefit to the formers. More than 50 participants attended the seminar, including scientific, technical, administrative, and supporting staff of the ICAR-CIRCOT and its regional units. Dr. T. Senthilkumar, Senior Scientist, and Dr. Jyoti Dhakane-Lad, Scientist coordinated in organizing the seminars.
