The faculty and students of the Department of Zoology, PAU, Ludhiana, celebrated the success of the Chandrayaan-3 mission by organizing an event on September 13, 2023. The event featured several key highlights, including presentations on the topics featuring bio data details, inspiring stories and achievements of our great ISRO scientists in Chandrayaan-3 mission by PhD students, namely, Pratibha Sharma, Ishamjeet, Arshkamaljot, Sukhdeep Kaur, Shazia, Payal, Mohit and Komalpreet.
Photographs clicked by Chandrayaaan-3’s Vikram Lander and Rover Module were compiled by Manjinder Kaur, Ruchika, Money and Tishali. A video of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, addressing ISRO scientists on the successful landing of Chandrayyaan-3 was displayed. Chandrayaan-3’s launching and landing videos (telecasted on the ISRO YouTube channel) were shown to the audience by Gurkirat Singh Sekhon, Harpreet Kaur, Harveer Kaur, Ragini Sharma, Mona, Anshul, Priyanka and Arshdeep. Students also conducted a quiz on various stages of the Chandrayaan-3 mission.
Dr Randeep Kaur Aulakh, Associate Professor of Zoology, motivated the students to emulate the hard work, patience and flexibility displayed by the ISRO team. Dr Tejdeep Kaur Kler, Principal Ornithologist & Head, Department of Zoology, addressed the gathering and congratulated the students for their enthusiastic approach and team spirit for making the event successful.
