Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Langroya, Distt Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar under the aegis of Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana organized a vocational training programme on poultry farming at its premises from 21st to 25th July, 2023.
During this training, Dr. Gurinder Singh, Farm Manager, KVK, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar gave detailed lectures and demonstrations on various topics of poultry farming including breeding and classification, hatching of chicks, rearing of chickens, housing and equipment, feeding arrangements, egg marketing, candling of egg, broiler yield and poultry diseases and their prevention.
In the concluding function, Dr. Maninder Singh Bons, Associate Director (Training), Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Langroya, District Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar interacted with the trainees and enlightened them about the services rendered by KVK for the betterment of the farming community and exhorted them to adopt subsidiary occupations for augmenting their income.
