Training Program on‘Enhancing Efficiency Through Optimum Spraying Techniques for Effective Pest and Disease Control’

National Institute of Plant Health Management (NIPHM), an
Autonomous Organization under DA&FW, Ministry of Agriculture and
Farmers Welfare, Govt. of India aims to develop a committed and
competent cadre of professionals to promote sustainable Plant Health
Management (PHM) in India. The program on ‘Enhancing Efficiency
Through Optimum Spraying Techniques for Effective Pest and Disease
Control’ covers key aspects such as principles of pesticide application,
including high-volume, low-volume, and ultra-low-volume spraying
techniques, precision spraying, and drone-based application systems,
pest, disease diagnosis, supported by online diagnostic tools, modern
advancements in digital agriculture, remote sensing (RS), GIS
applications, and sensor-based plant protection systems. By the end of the
training, participants will be empowered to apply safe, efficient, and
modern plant protection techniques using advanced spraying, diagnostic,
and digital tools. They will be capable of promoting sustainable, ecofriendly crop health management in their respective fields.
