The Vice-Chancellor of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) Dr Satbir Singh Gosal released a Food Entrepreneurship Development Society brochure of NIDHI-TBI, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India Project, today. The senior officials and faculty of PAU, and the members of Food Entrepreneurship Development Society were present at the brochure releasing ceremony.
Dr Gosal, while highlighting the brochure’s significance, said, “At PAU, we laud NIDHI-TBI’s efforts in crafting space for young innovative minds to harness their creativity and develop forward thinking solutions for agribusiness sector. Our vision here is the transformation of Punjab’s agricultural identity through innovation and sustainable practices”.
Mr Rishi Pal Singh, Registrar, PAU and Secretary, FEDS, appreciated the efforts made by the NIDHI-TBI team in providing and nurturing supportive environment for incubates.
Dr Ramandeep Singh, Principal Investigator of NIDHI-TBI and Director of the School of Business Studies, PAU, stated, “This brochure is valuable resource, providing concrete insights about functioning of Incubation Cell to empower budding entrepreneurs and individuals with future-ready business skills through trainings and practical hand-holdings in the areas of fruits, vegetables, pulses and cereals. This initiative will provide wings to every innovation that has a potential to create impact in markets and enhance lives and livelihood of rural youths.”
Mr Gurinder Singh, CEO and Mr Sameer Gautam, BM, said that PAU Food Entrepreneurship Development Society ensured a dynamic platform for future agripreneurs and market leaders to explore opportunities in food value chain initiatives. It aimed at educating the entrepreneurs, agripreneurs, agrarian innovators, farmers, rural youth and women entrepreneurs about the functioning and operations of the incubation centre working under the banner of NIDHI-TBI, PAU FEDS, they added.
