A two days Capacity Building Programme on “Advances in Goat Management for enhancing farmer’s income” was organized at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Anjora by Directorate of Extension Education, Dau Shri Vasudev Chandrakar Kamdhenu Vishwavidyalaya, for the Veterinary Assistant Surgeons (VAS) and Subject Matter Specialists (SMS) on 21.02.2024 and 22.02.2024.
Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, DSVCKV Dr. R.R.B. Singh was the Chief Guest for the inaugural ceremony and Dr. S.R.K. Singh, Director, ATARI, Jabalpur addressed the gathering through video conferencing. Dr. R.K. Sonwane, Registrar, DSVCKV and Dr. S.P. Singh, Deputy Director Veterinary Services, Durg also graced the occasion.
The invited lectures were delivered by Dr. Mukul Anand, Associate Professor & Incharge Goat Research and Training Centre, College of Vety. Sci. & AH., DUVASU, Mathura, Dr. S.N. Rokde, Ex.-Principal Scientist, CAZRI and experts from the University. In addition to this, an interactive session was also organized wherein the progressive farmers from nearby areas interacted with the participants. This programme was attended by 40 Veterinary Assistant Surgeons (VAS) of Durg Division and Subject Matter Specialists (SMS) from different KVKs of the state. The participants became familiar with the recent and technological advancements and innovations in the arena of goat farming.
