ICAR-CIRG organized Goat Entrepreneurship Development Day and Training Programme. Dr. N.P. Singh Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Banda University of Agriculture and Technology Banda was the Chief Guest of this Occasion. Dr A.K.Jadaun Director Uttar Pradesh Animal Husbandry Department, Dr Anirban Guha, Asst. Commissioner NLM, DAHD New Delhi, Dr. S.N.Ahmed Deputy Director Livestock Product, MoFPI New Delhi were the Guest of Honour.
Scientists from ICAR-IISWC Chalesar Center, DDMs NABARD (Agra & Mathura), Head KVK Agra, Dy Director Small Animals UPDAHD, progressive farmers, FPOs, officers from Manjari Foundation and other dignitaries shared their views on opportunities and challenges in goat entrepreneurship development in India in technical session. Officials from NLM and Ministry of Food Processing and Industry presented ongoing schemes and programs of entrepreneurship development in goat sector. Farmers interacted with the officials and clarified their doubts about the schemes & mode of applications etc. More than 200 farmers SC & ST goat farmers and 103 trainees from 12 states, progressive goat farmers (16), scientists, officials from various line departments participated the event. ICAR-CIRG also singed MOU with Uttar Pradesh Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying for the development of goat sector in the state.
