Rainfall forecast for Kantamal block in Boudh district

As per the latest forecast released by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Kantamal block in Boudh district is expected to receive average to above-average rainfall in the upcoming monsoon season.

The IMD has predicted that the region will witness a normal monsoon season this year, with rainfall likely to be distributed evenly throughout the district. The rainfall is expected to start in the first week of June and continue until the end of September.

The early onset of the monsoon season is attributed to the strong positive Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD) phase, which is expected to intensify in the coming months. This is good news for farmers and the agriculture industry in the region, as they heavily depend on rainfall for their livelihood.

It is important to note, however, that excessive rainfall could also lead to flooding and landslides in the area. The district administration has issued warnings and has advised locals to take necessary precautions during the monsoon season.

Moreover, the Crop Weather Watch Group of the Agriculture Department has also recommended that farmers in the region take necessary measures for the proper management of crops during the monsoon season. This includes ensuring proper drainage of excess water, appropriate use of fertilizers and pesticides, and timely harvesting of crops.

Overall, the forecast for rainfall in Kantamal block of Boudh district appears promising for the year 2021. However, it is always important to be prepared for unforeseen circumstances and take necessary precautions to avoid any damage to life and property.
