The Pradhanmantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) is a scheme launched by the Indian government to provide financial assistance to small and marginal farmers across the country. Since the launch of the scheme, over 11 crore farmers have been enrolled and more than Rs. 1,10,000 crore has been disbursed to farmers across the country as of March 2021. The scheme has been widely appreciated by farmers and has helped to improve their financial condition.
However, there have also been some challenges in the implementation of the scheme. One of the biggest concerns has been the exclusion of many eligible farmers due to issues with Aadhaar verification, incorrect bank details, and other technical glitches. In addition, many farmers have reported delays or non-payment of instalments, which has caused hardship to them.
