Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana KYC

As a part of the government’s initiative to support small and marginal farmers, the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) was launched in February 2019. Under this scheme, eligible farmers are provided with financial assistance of Rs. 6,000 per year, in three equal instalments of Rs. 2,000 each.

One of the important requirements for availing benefits under the scheme is to complete the KYC (Know Your Customer) process. The KYC is mandatory as it helps the government in identifying genuine beneficiaries and prevents fraudulent claims.

To complete the KYC process, farmers will need to provide their Aadhaar card details, as well as the details of their bank account, which should be linked to their Aadhaar card. Farmers can complete the process by visiting any of the common service centres (CSCs) or by visiting the official PM-KISAN website.

Once the KYC process is completed, farmers will be able to receive the benefits of the scheme directly into their bank account. This will help in ensuring that the financial assistance reaches the intended beneficiaries quickly and without any intermediaries.

The PM-KISAN scheme has been a boon for farmers as it provides them with financial support, which can be used for a variety of purposes, from purchasing seeds and fertilizers to covering other expenses needed to maintain their farms. Therefore, it is important for farmers to complete the KYC process to ensure they can avail the benefits of the scheme.

In conclusion, the KYC process is an essential step for farmers to receive benefits under the PM-KISAN scheme. With the help of technology and the government’s efforts, the scheme is benefiting countless small and marginal farmers across the country, opening up new opportunities for them to improve their livelihoods and continue farming.
