The government of India launched the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, also known as PM Kisan, to provide financial assistance to farmers across the country. The scheme aims to help farmers with their agricultural needs and support them in their efforts to increase their income.
Under the PM Kisan scheme, eligible farmers receive an income support of Rs 6,000 per year.
