PM Kisan registration pending at district level

As the PM Kisan scheme enters its third year, there are still several farmers across the country who are awaiting registration at the district level. The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme was launched in 2019 by the Indian government to provide financial assistance of INR 6,000 per year to small and marginal farmers.

Under the scheme, farmers owning up to 2 hectares of land are eligible to receive financial assistance from the government. The scheme was launched with a goal to help farmers financially, who face a continuous struggle to make ends meet.

However, it has been observed that many farmers are still stuck at the registration process at the district level. A large number of farmers have applied for the PM Kisan scheme, but their applications are still pending at the district level due to various reasons.

Some farmers have raised concerns about the requirement of Aadhaar, bank account and other documents for registration under the scheme. Lack of awareness, internet connectivity issues, and technical glitches are other concerns which farmers are facing during the registration process.

The government should take immediate action to ensure that no eligible farmer should be left out from taking the benefits of the scheme. The government should engage more with farmers, informing them about the scheme and the registration process. An increase in awareness campaigns, widespread marketing, and education programs on the benefits of the scheme can go a long way in achieving this goal.

In addition, efforts should be made to streamline the registration process, making it more accessible and farmer-friendly. Government officials could possibly visit the villages and rural areas to help with the registration process.

In conclusion, the PM Kisan scheme was launched with good intentions to help small and marginal farmers. However, it is disheartening to see that eligible farmers are still waiting to receive the financial assistance at the district level even after two years of the scheme’s inception. It is important for the government to address this issue immediately to ensure that no deserving farmer is left behind, especially during these difficult times.
