As part of its commitment to strengthening agricultural infrastructure and improving the lives of farmers, the Indian government launched the PM Kisan scheme in 2019. This scheme provides financial assistance to small and marginal farmers, enabling them to meet their agricultural expenses and ensure regular income. With the recent launch of the PM Kisan new farmer registration portal, more farmers can now register for the scheme and avail its benefits.
The PM Kisan scheme provides farmers with a financial aid of Rs. 6000 every year, which is directly transferred to their bank accounts. This aid enables farmers to invest in farming, pay for agricultural inputs, and manage their household expenses. To ensure maximum coverage under the scheme, the government has launched a new portal for farmers to register for PM Kisan. Through this portal, farmers can register, and benefit from the scheme.
To register for PM Kisan, farmers need to follow a simple process. First, they need to visit the PM Kisan portal and click on the “New Farmer Registration” tab. Then, they have to enter their Aadhaar number, name, and select a category to which they belong – either small or marginal farmer. After that, they need to submit details such as bank account details, IFSC code, and contact details, along with a recent photograph.
Once the registration process is completed, farmers can check the status of their application through the portal using their Aadhaar number. In case their application is rejected, they can reapply with the correct details. If the application is accepted, farmers will receive financial aid of Rs. 2000 every four months in their bank accounts.
The PM Kisan scheme has proved to be a boon for Indian farmers, especially in difficult times like the COVID-19 pandemic. The scheme has provided direct financial assistance to farmers, enabling them to meet their financial needs and invest in agriculture. With the launch of the PM Kisan new farmer registration portal, more farmers can now take advantage of the scheme and improve their lives. We hope that PM Kisan continues to be a vital lifeline for farmers in India and plays a key role in strengthening Indian agriculture.
