The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-Kisan) is a government scheme that aims to provide income support to small and marginal farmers across the country. Under this scheme, eligible farmers receive financial assistance of Rs. 6,000 per year, payable in three equal installments of Rs. 2,000 each.
The first installment of Rs. 2,000 is released in the months of April-July, the second installment in the months of August-November, and the third installment in the months of December-March. The funds are directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries through direct benefit transfer (DBT) mode.
As of now, the government has released a total of 8 installments under the PM-Kisan scheme since its launch in December 2018. The scheme has benefited over 11 crore farmers across the country, providing them with much-needed financial assistance to meet their agricultural expenses and improve their livelihoods.
The PM-Kisan scheme has been widely praised for its efficient implementation and its impact on farmers. It has helped in reducing the financial burden on small and marginal farmers and has contributed towards enhancing their income and standard of living.
Overall, the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana has been a game-changer for small and marginal farmers in India, providing them with the necessary support to sustain their livelihoods and contribute towards the growth of the agriculture sector. The government’s commitment to the welfare of farmers through schemes like PM-Kisan is commendable and should be continued to ensure the well-being of our farmers.
