Installment of Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi

As part of its effort to support farmers, the Indian government launched the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme in February 2019. This scheme aims to provide financial assistance to small and marginal farmers in the country.

The PM-KISAN scheme provides an amount of Rs. 6000 in three installments of Rs. 2000 each to eligible farmers. The first installment is provided between April and July, the second installment between August and November, and the third installment between December and March.

To be eligible for the PM-KISAN scheme, farmers must fulfill certain criteria. They should own cultivable land and have their names on the land record of their respective states. Farmers who have a total cultivable landholding of up to two hectares are considered as small and marginal farmers and are eligible for the scheme.

The PM-KISAN scheme also has certain exclusion criteria. Farmers who are part of central or state government entities, or are retired or serving government employees, are not eligible for the scheme. Additionally, farmers who have an income above a certain threshold are also excluded from the scheme.

To apply for the PM-KISAN scheme, farmers must visit the official website and fill out the online application form. They will need to provide their basic details, such as name, age, gender, and Aadhaar card number, along with their bank account information.

Once the application is submitted, it will be verified by the concerned authorities. If the application is approved, the farmer will receive the first installment of the PM-KISAN scheme directly into their bank account. The subsequent installments will also be provided in the same manner.

The PM-KISAN scheme has been a significant step towards supporting small and marginal farmers in India. The scheme has already provided assistance to millions of farmers across the country, helping them to overcome financial difficulties and invest in their farms for better yields.

In conclusion, if you are a small or marginal farmer in India, you can apply for the PM-KISAN scheme and avail the financial benefits provided by the government. By doing so, you can take the first step towards securing a better future for yourself and your family.
