Under PM-KISAN, eligible farmers receive direct cash transfers of Rs. 6,000 per annum in three instalments of Rs. 2,000 each. The amount is directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode. The list of beneficiaries under PM-KISAN is prepared by the State Governments and Union Territories administration on the basis of land records of farmers. The Government provides a dedicated portal where farmers can check their names and status under the scheme. Registered farmers can also apply for any grievances and other kinds of support on this portal.

PM-KISAN scheme was launched by the Government of India with the objective of uplifting the socioeconomic status of farmers and reducing income inequalities. The scheme provides financial support to farmers, which ensures their livelihood and promotes agriculture and allied activities. It is estimated that more than 14 crore farmers are registered under the scheme and have received the benefits of the PM-KISAN scheme.

Overall, PM-KISAN is a step in the right direction to provide financial assistance to farmers and increase their income. The scheme has been appreciated by farmers and agriculture experts alike. By providing financial aid, the government aims to encourage farmers to invest more in their agriculture activities and better their standard of living.
