As a part of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme launched in 2018, eligible beneficiary farmers in India receive financial assistance of Rs. 6000 annually. The scheme aims to provide direct income support to farmers with small and marginal landholdings.
To know the PM-KISAN beneficiary status, farmers can check their names in the PM-KISAN portal using their Aadhaar number, mobile number or bank account number. Here are the steps to check your PM-KISAN beneficiary status:
Step 1: Visit the official website of PM-KISAN – pmkisan.gov.in.
Step 2: Click on “Farmers Corner” and select “Beneficiary Status” from the dropdown menu.
Step 3: Select the option to search by Aadhaar number, mobile number or bank account number.
Step 4: Enter the required information and click on “Get Data”.
Step 5: The system will display the beneficiary status and payment details of the farmer.
If you are a PM-KISAN beneficiary, you will receive the financial assistance directly into your bank account in three installments of Rs.2000 each. The first installment is credited between April-July, the second between August-November and the third between December-March.
It is important to note that only rural landholding farmers are eligible to benefit from the PM-KISAN scheme. The scheme excludes all other beneficiaries such as families of government employees, persons who pay income tax, professionals such as doctors and lawyers, pensioners and institutional landholders.
