TSO dosage is dependent on the apple tree’s age, the concentration of TSO, and the soil type in which the apple trees are cultivated. It is recommended to apply TSO in the soil and/or leaves of the apple plant at a lower dosage during the plant’s early stages of development. This dosage might need to be increased as the tree ages and root systems become more complex and substantial.

This explains why TSO is one of the most acceptable biocontrol agents currently used in apple cultivation.
