PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is a scheme initiated by the Central Government of India aimed at providing financial assistance to farmers across the country after every four months. It was launched in February 2019 with the objective of enabling small and marginal farmers with income support to give impetus to agriculture and allied activities.

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana: Beneficiaries

1. Small and Marginal Farmers

2. Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT)

Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the Government of India has decided to transfer the benefit amount directly to the bank accounts of the eligible beneficiaries. Farmers who have been registered under the scheme will receive the amount paid in installments through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode.

3. Jan Dhan Accounts

If a farmer does not have a bank account, then he or she can apply for the ‘Jan Dhan’ accounts that have been opened under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana. By applying for such an account, the eligible farmer can avail himself or herself of the benefits of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.

4. Women Farmers

Women farmers who are eligible for the scheme will also receive the benefit amount under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Women who have applied for the scheme will be given priority and receive the benefit amount without any delay.
