1. Land preparation: Start by clearing the land from any weeds or debris. Plow the soil to a depth of around 15 to 20 centimeters (6 to 8 inches) to make it loose and friable. Incorporate well-rotted organic matter, such as compost or farmyard manure, into the soil to ensure adequate nutrient availability.

2. Seed selection: Choose high-quality seeds from a reputed source. It is crucial to use fresh and healthy seeds to achieve better germination rates. Coriander seeds are round and yellowish-brown in color, with a weight of approximately 1.5 to 3 grams per 1000 seeds.
