Bhavantar Yojna information

Bhavantar Yojana is a scheme launched by the government of Madhya Pradesh, India, to help farmers by providing them compensation for their crops. The scheme aims to make up for the difference between the Minimum Support Price (MSP) and the Market Selling Price (MSP) of crops. In simple terms, if farmers sell their crops below MSP, they will receive compensation for the difference through this scheme.

The scheme is designed to help farmers cope with the losses incurred by selling their crops at prices below MSP. This is a common problem in India, where farmers are often forced to sell their produce at lower prices due to various factors such as overproduction, lack of market infrastructure, and market fluctuation. Bhavantar Yojana addresses this issue by providing insurance to farmers whose crops prices fall below the MSP.

To be eligible for the benefits under this scheme, farmers are required to register themselves on the portal of the scheme. During registration, they must provide their bank account details, crop details, and the area of cultivation. After registration, farmers can upload their sale details to the portal and avail of the benefits of the scheme.

Under the scheme, farmers can avail of compensation up to Rs. 2 lakh per farmer per season for crops such as soybean, sunflower, groundnut, sesame, ramtil, and urad. The compensation is given only for those crops, which are sold below the MSP. The compensation is credited directly to the farmer’s bank account through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode.

In conclusion, the Bhavantar Yojana is a noble initiative by the Madhya Pradesh government to support farmers in distress. It is an excellent model that may be replicated by other states to help farmers in the country. This scheme not only helps farmers but also helps ensure food security for the country. The government must continue to support and implement such schemes that benefit farmers and help them sustain their livelihoods.
