Ask for information on PM – Kisan beneficiary status

Title: How to Inquire About PM-Kisan Beneficiary Status?

Introduction:

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-Kisan) is an initiative by the Indian government that provides financial assistance to small and marginal farmers across the country. Under this scheme, eligible farmers receive a direct income support of ₹6,000 per year in three equal installments. To ensure transparency and credibility, the government provides an online platform where farmers can inquire about their PM-Kisan beneficiary status. In this article, we will guide you through the process of obtaining information on your PM-Kisan beneficiary status.

Step-by-Step Procedure to Inquire about PM-Kisan Beneficiary Status:

1. Access the official PM-Kisan portal:
Start by visiting the official website for the PM-Kisan scheme. The portal can be accessed at pmkisan.gov.in.

2. Look for the “Farmer Corner” section:
On the homepage, locate the “Farmer Corner” section. This section typically includes several options such as “New Farmer Registration,” “Edit Aadhaar Details,” and “Beneficiary Status.” Click on the “Beneficiary Status” link.

3. Choose the preferred inquiry method:
Once you are on the beneficiary status page, you will have two options to check your status: Aadhaar number and account number. You can choose either option, depending on the details you have available.

a) If you choose the Aadhaar number option:
i. Enter your Aadhaar number in the provided field.
ii. Click on the “Get Data” or “Search” button.

b) If you choose the Account number option:
i. Select your state and district from the drop-down menus.
ii. Enter your account number in the field.
iii. Click on the “Get Data” or “Search” button.

4. Verify your Beneficiary Status:
After completing the relevant details and clicking the search button, the portal will display your PM-Kisan beneficiary status. It will show your name, state, district, block, village, Aadhaar number, bank account details, and status (verified/active/non-active).

5. Following up on pending applications:
If your status remains “non-active” even after applying, it implies that your application is pending for approval. In such cases, kindly contact your respective Lekhpal office or Talathi office and provide them with the necessary documents requested.

6. Link your Aadhaar to your bank account:
It is crucial to ensure that your Aadhaar number is correctly linked to your bank account. If not, you may need to link them through your bank’s Aadhaar seeding process to receive the PM-Kisan benefits.

Conclusion:

The PM-Kisan beneficiary status inquiry process aims to bring transparency and facilitate direct communication between the government and farmers. By following the steps outlined above, farmers can easily inquire about the status of their PM-Kisan application and resolve any pending issues. This initiative is a significant step towards empowering farmers and ensuring timely and hassle-free financial assistance to those who truly deserve it.
