The scheme is designed to benefit around 14 crore farmers in India who own up to 2 hectares of agricultural land. The financial assistance provided under PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna helps farmers meet their farming expenses and improve their overall income. To be eligible for the PM-Kisan scheme, farmers need to meet certain criteria, including owning less than 2 hectares of agricultural land, having a valid Aadhaar card, and being enrolled under the Socio-Economic Caste Census (SECC) database. Farmers can apply for the scheme through their respective state government’s portal or at the nearest Common Service Center (CSC).

The scheme has been widely praised for its impact in empowering small and marginal farmers and improving their livelihoods.

Overall, the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna is a crucial government initiative that aims to provide much-needed financial support to farmers and contribute to the growth and development of the agricultural sector in India.
