What is the PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi Yojana in KCC?

The PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi Yojana is a government scheme aimed at providing financial assistance to farmers in the form of direct income support. This scheme was launched by the Central Government in February 2019 to help small and marginal farmers with the support they require for cultivation purposes.

The scheme provides an income support of Rs. 6,000 per year to qualified farmers in three instalments of Rs. 2,000 each, every four months of the calendar year. The money is transferred directly into the farmers’ bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer System (DBT).

The PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi Yojana is currently one of the largest schemes for farmers in India, and more than 10 crore farmers have benefited from it. Eligibility for the scheme is determined based on a set of criteria including land ownership, crop type, and family income. The scheme provides benefits only to those farmers who hold up to 2 hectares of cultivable land.

The PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi Yojana has also been integrated with the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) scheme. The KCC scheme is a type of credit facility provided to farmers by various financial institutions, including banks.

The integration of PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi Yojana with the KCC scheme provides farmers with multiple benefits. The farmers will receive the financial support from both schemes simultaneously, which can be used to meet their crop cultivation expenses and other requirements.

Moreover, farmers who hold a Kisan Credit Card will also be eligible for higher credit limits and additional interest subsidies, making the KCC scheme more beneficial to them. The integration of the two schemes will ensure that farmers have the necessary support to cultivate their crops and increase their yield.

In conclusion, the PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi Yojana is a significant initiative undertaken by the government to support small and marginal farmers in India. By integrating the scheme with KCC, farmers are now able to receive more benefits that will help them with their crop cultivation expenses. It is hoped that the scheme will help farmers in the long run and strengthen the agriculture sector of the country.
