The updated registration process:

Under the PM-Kisan scheme, eligible farmers receive income support of ₹6,000 ($81) per year, directly transferred into their bank accounts in three equal installments. However, to avail these benefits, farmers must first register themselves through the official PM-Kisan website or through Common Service Centres (CSCs) located across the country.

The new registration process aims to simplify and expedite the enrollment process, encouraging more farmers to participate in the scheme. With enhanced transparency and efficiency, the updated system aims to ensure that the benefits reach those who genuinely deserve them.

Steps for farmers to register for PM-Kisan:

1. Visit the official PM-Kisan website:

• Farmers can directly visit the official PM-Kisan website at: https://pmkisan.gov.in/.
• On the homepage, locate and click on the “Farmer Corner” section.

2. Select “New Farmer Registration”:

• On the “Farmer Corner” page, locate and select the “New Farmer Registration” option.

3. Input required details:

• Fill in the necessary details including the name of the applicant, Aadhaar card number, mobile number, gender, and state, among others.
• Once all the details are filled in, click on the “Save” button.

4. Verify Aadhaar number:

• After saving the information, enter the captcha code displayed on the screen for verification.
• Click on the “Verify” button to validate the Aadhaar number.

5. Specify dedicated land details:

• Enter the details of the farmland owned or farmed by the applicant.
• Provide the ownership status, the land’s total area, and plot numbers.

6. Declaration and submission:

• Finally, the applicant must review all the entered information and make any necessary corrections.
• After ensuring all details are accurate, click on the “Submit” button.
