Dr Tejinder Singh Riar, Additional Director Communication, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), was conferred with “Community Mobilization Award” during the 12th National Seminar on “Futuristic Agriculture: Technology, Sustainability and Beyond,” held at Umiam, Meghalaya, from May 22–24. The award was bestowed upon him in recognition of his tremendous contributions to the field of extension education. The seminar was organized by the Society for Community Mobilization for Sustainable Development (MOBILIZATION) in association with the Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal, and the ICAR Research Complex for the North Eastern Hill (NEH) Region, Umiam. In addition, Dr Riar chaired a technical session on “Plant Protection and Vital Approval; and Farmer Organizations.”
