They pointed out that the excessive use of plastic poses grave threats not only to human health but also to the environment, animals, birds and marine life. Some students cited evidence of hormonal imbalances in marine creatures like dolphins and turtles due to microplastics. Over 80 students and 10 faculty members attended the event, which culminated in a collective pledge to reduce dependence on single-use plastics. The competition provided a platform for students to share impactful ideas for a cleaner and greener future. The first prize was awarded to Ms. Devanshi Saini, second prize was bagged by Ms. Anushka Shukla followed by third prize to Mr. Pranav and Mr. Priyavarta. The program was coordinated by Dr. Himani Dhanze, Dr. Asok Kumar and Dr. Ayon Tarafdar, under the guidance of Dr. Rupasi Tiwari and Dr. S. K. Saha.
