Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana (MKKY) is a scheme launched by the Government of Madhya Pradesh in 2018 with an aim to provide financial assistance to farmers in the state. Under this scheme, farmers in Madhya Pradesh are eligible to receive benefits such as seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and other agricultural inputs.

The scheme was introduced by the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led government to address the issues faced by farmers in the state. With over 70% of the population in Madhya Pradesh depending on agriculture for their livelihood, the government aimed to boost the agricultural sector and ensure food security in the state.

The MKKY scheme has been a success since its launch, benefitting thousands of farmers across the state. In the first phase of the scheme, the state government allocated Rs. 4,511 crore for the implementation of the scheme. The funds were used to provide financial assistance to farmers for the purchase of agricultural inputs and for the implementation of various agricultural activities.

The scheme has also helped in increasing the income of farmers by improving crop productivity and reducing post-harvest losses. The government has also introduced various schemes and measures to promote the use of organic fertilizers and to protect the environment.

Recently, the government announced that it would launch a new phase of the MKKY scheme, which is expected to provide additional benefits to farmers. The new phase of the scheme is expected to focus on improving the agricultural infrastructure in the state, including the development of irrigation facilities and access to improved seeds.

The success of the MKKY scheme can be attributed to the efforts of the state government in addressing the concerns of farmers and promoting sustainable agriculture practices. With the continuation of the scheme, the agricultural sector in Madhya Pradesh is expected to grow significantly and contribute to the overall economic development of the state.
