e-KYC Pradhanmantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana

As part of the Pradhanmantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) scheme, the government of India has introduced e-KYC, or electronic Know Your Customer, to make the process of obtaining benefits under the scheme more efficient.

Under the PM-KISAN scheme, eligible farmers receive ₹6,000 per year in three instalments. The scheme requires that farmers be registered and verified as such before they can receive the benefit. The e-KYC process allows farmers to complete the registration and verification process through a mobile phone or computer, without the hassle of visits to government offices or banks.

The e-KYC process involves the farmer providing their Aadhaar number, which is verified through biometric authentication, along with bank account details. Once the verification process is complete, the farmer is registered under the PM-KISAN scheme and can receive the benefit.

The e-KYC process has several benefits, including reducing the time and effort required to complete the registration process, as well as the risk of errors or fraud. It also allows farmers in remote or inaccessible areas to register and receive the benefit without having to travel long distances.

The government has made the e-KYC process available through various channels, including Common Service Centres (CSCs), bank branches, and mobile apps. The process is simple and user-friendly, with step-by-step instructions provided at each stage.

With the introduction of e-KYC under the PM-KISAN scheme, the government has taken a significant step in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the program. The scheme has already benefited millions of farmers across the country, and the e-KYC process is likely to make it even more accessible to those who need it most.
