A two day training programme on “Capacity Building for Rural Youth and Farm Women for setting up an Enterprise based on Eco – friendly Cane and Bamboo products” was conducted for 60 SC farm women and youth at Agraharam Potlapalli (V), Rajapur (M), Mahabubnagar district, Telangana- 509202 under ICAR SC-SP 2023-24 on 31.05.2024 and 01.06.2024 to develop skills for making Eco – friendly Cane and Bamboo products i.e Laundry Basket, Lamp Shade and Mirror Frame. The participants were given training kits and manuals. This programme was organized by the Principal Investigator Mrs. Ch. Sneha Latha, Assistant Professor, Department of Resource Management and Consumer Science (RMCS), College of Community Science and Co – Principal Investigator Dr. M. Milcah Paul, Teaching Associate, Department of RMCS,C.C.Sc. under the guidance of Dr. V. Vijaya Lakshmi, Professor and Associate Dean, C.C.Sc. and Dr. Swetha Kodali, Assistant Professor and Head of the RMCS Department, C.C.Sc., PJTSAU, Hyderabad, Telangana. This training programme helped the participants to acquire the skill in making the cane and bamboo products to generate the income by establishing their own enterprise.
