Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Buxar (07 December 2024) The first episode of the program “Krishi Chaupal” started today by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India with the aim of furthering the empowerment of agricultural education was broadcast by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Buxar. In this program, which is broadcast every month through DD Kisan Channel and AIR, today the technical information of 109 developed biofortified species of various crops, which were dedicated to the nation by the Honorable Prime Minister in the month of August, was given by experts by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi in collaboration with its subordinate institutions. This Krishak Chaupal program, broadcast through national level electronic media, aims to spread advanced agricultural techniques among farmers by making them aware about them.
Along with this, a Kisan Goshthi was also organized to give awareness and technical information to the visiting farmers about the use and benefits of climate-friendly species in the climate-friendly agriculture program and Rabi crop production. Chief Guest Mr. Avinash Shankar, District Agriculture Officer, Buxar and In-charge Chief of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Buxar, Mr. Harigobind jointly lit the lamp and inaugurated the seminar. Welcoming the participants, Shri Harigobind informed about the advanced variety selection for Rabi crops and its benefits, balanced fertilizer use and detailed technical information on irrigation. Invitee Shri Avinash Shankar told about the farmer welfare schemes being run by the Agriculture Department, Buxar. Expert Shri Ramkeval gave detailed information about crop diversification and weed, disease and pest management in Rabi crops. Field Manager Shri Arif Pravez informed the participants about the Custom Hiring Center and its benefits. In the Q&A session, technical solutions to the problems of farmers related to Rabi crops were told. 135 women and male farmers from villages like Pawani, Chunni, Nathpur, Ramobaria, Dalsagar, Harikishunpur, Balapur, Kukudha, Padri, Jigana, Bhitihara, Sonapa etc. of the district were present in the programs.
